Mechanical Engineering & Design
Custom Automations experienced Engineering team are involved from the concept and automation design, development of layouts through to the detail design, manufacturing and commissioning of equipment.
Our Mechanical Engineers use a range of software tools for design and detail drafting, including:

3D Simulation software is often used by CA for proposed operating systems. The computer model simulation is combined with our technical experience to accurately represent the performance of the final operating system.

Electrical and Control Systems Design
CA’s Electrical Engineers provide the design of integrated control systems to meet the specific project specifications with today’s high level of technologies and stringent safety requirements. CA’s electrical engineers have the expertise and experience to design and implement AS4024 / IEC61508 compliant control systems. These standards are guidelines to make plant and machinery safe to protect persons against risks to health and safety. Most older machinery and imported machinery manufactured to other standards do not comply with current safety requirement. CA can inspect existing machinery, make recommendations, design to comply with current standards and implement changes.

Most of our installation is on brown field sites, where planning and execution of the work is critical to have minimal impact on the operational plant. Our staff and site crews take on the responsibility for planning, quality and safety on the installation site with the priority of having production up and running on time.
When the equipment is completely installed, commissioned and handed over to the client, our engineering staff can provide training and manuals for operators and maintenance personnel. We also offer post production standby and quarterly preventative maintenance inspections and reporting.

Conveyor Inspection, Service and Repair

- Conveyor System Evaluation
A visual inspection to determine the general condition of the mechanical conveyor components. The findings are presented in a detailed report and summary in which recommendations are provided.
- Computer Chain Pull Analysis
A computer generated technical analysis of conveyor chain pull and chain tension report using specific loading conditions. This will help to identify existing difficulties and/or potential considerations.
- Conveyor Troubleshooting Services
An on-site evaluation to address specific conveyor components or mechanical difficulties. Brief punch list type reports and remedial recommendations are provided.
