Case Study

As the leading Global brand in Mining services, Orica needed to work with a reliable partner to improve and expand the process on their Cyanide Boxing Line.

Custom Automation was asked to manage the project from Consultation, Design, Equipment Design, Build, Install to Commission.

The hazardous nature of the material being handled meant Custom Automation had to design a system that could handle the material in a reliable and safe manner, a task that our experienced team of in-house engineers was able to complete admirably.

The system, designed and built to meet Orica’s requirements consisted of:

• Box Staging Conveyors
• Filling Booth with Vibratory Conveyor and Weight Station
• Inspection Station
• Automatic Box Lidding
• Labelling and Strapping

Custom Automation’s experience and knowledge of the customer’s needs meant that the project exceeded expectations, greatly increasing the throughput of their boxing line, and completing the project comfortably within the time requirements.
